- Ensure to change PIN at regular intervals and activate the debit card by using it first at any ATM before POS/e-commerce use.
- Always ensure the card is used in your presence at POS and enter the PIN discreetly.
- Register your mobile number for SMS alerts for all Debit Card transactions to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Conduct ATM transactions in complete privacy, shield your PIN from onlookers, and collect your card, cash, and receipt after transactions.
- Be vigilant for extra devices attached to ATMs and report any suspicious findings immediately.
- Ensure the "Welcome Screen" is displayed in the ATM after transaction completion.
- Regularly check account statements and immediately report any unauthorized card transactions after blocking the debit card.
- Immediately inform the Bank if the ATM/Debit Card is lost or stolen, or if the card is held back by an ATM.
- Be aware of suspicious movements around ATMs and strangers trying to engage in conversation.
- Upon card expiry or account closure, cut the card into four pieces through the magnetic stripe before disposing of it.
- If cash is not dispensed but the account is debited, Bank of Baroda customers should fill a complaint form and submit it to the Branch.
- Verify emails and links, especially those from social networking sites, as they may be phishing attempts designed to gain personal information.
- Always ensure that the address of the website for transactions starts with "https://" and not "http://".
- Do not give your Debit Card to anyone; if surrendering, request closure and hand over the destroyed card to Bank Officials or block it using BOB World (Mobile Banking), bob world internet (Internet Banking), IVR, or WhatsApp Banking.
