Our Methodology
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Here's exactly how CardsWala sources, compares, and ranks credit cards — so you know what you're looking at before you rely on it.
Where Our Card Data Comes From
Every card on CardsWala is built from publicly available information published by the issuing bank — official card pages, fee schedules, and terms & conditions documents. We do not accept payment from any bank to include, feature, or favourably describe a card.
How Often Data Is Refreshed
Card details (fees, rewards, eligibility) are re-checked on an ongoing basis as part of our data pipeline. Every card page and issuer page displays a "Last updated" date so you can see exactly how current the information is before applying — banks can and do change fees and terms without notice, so always confirm the latest details on the issuer's own page before applying.
How We Compare and Rank Cards
Comparisons and category rankings on {{siteName}} are based on objective, publicly verifiable factors:
- Joining and annual/renewal fees, including fee-waiver conditions
- Reward type and effective reward rate (cashback %, reward points, air miles)
- Eligibility criteria — minimum income, credit score, age range
- Category fit — how well a card's benefits match a specific spending pattern (travel, fuel, dining, etc.)
No Pay-for-Placement
CardsWala does not sell placement, ranking position, or favourable coverage to any bank or card issuer. Where a page includes an "Apply Now" link that may earn us a referral commission, that relationship never influences how a card is described, compared, or ranked — see our Disclaimer page for the full compensation disclosure. Spotted an Error?
