Introduction
The Baroda Reloadable Card is a prepaid card offered by Bank of Baroda, available in both physical and virtual variants, with a primary focus on the physical card. It is an EMV chip card, usable across RuPay-certified merchant outlets, websites, and ATMs throughout India.
Prepaid Card Variant & KYC Tiers
- The Baroda Reloadable Card is available in two variants: Physical and Virtual. This document primarily details the Physical variant.
- It is a reloadable card, allowing multiple reloads within the maximum permissible limit.
- The card is fully compliant with KYC, AML/CFT requirements as per RBI guidelines.
- Both Bank of Baroda account holders and non-account holders can purchase the card.
- All KYC compliant operational accounts are eligible for purchasing the card.
- For retail customers, one card per account is allowed.
- For corporate customers, there is no limit on the number of cards per account, provided the full KYC of the beneficiary/cardholder is submitted.
- The card is issued in Indian Rupees (INR) only and can be used exclusively within India.
Balance & Transaction Limits
- The minimum amount that can be loaded on the card is Rs. 100.
- The maximum amount permitted in the card at any point in time is Rs. 1,00,000.
- The minimum reload value is Rs. 100.
- The maximum reload value is Rs. 1,00,000, subject to the condition that the total balance in the card (available balance + reload amount) does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.
- Cash withdrawal at ATMs is allowed.
- The maximum daily ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 25,000.
- The per transaction ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 10,000.
- The card can be swiped for up to Rs. 1,00,000 in a day at POS/online merchant outlets, subject to the available balance.

How to Load Money

- The card will be reloaded in real-time.
- The minimum reload value is Rs. 100.
- The maximum reload value is Rs. 1,00,000, provided the total balance on the card does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.
- The card can be reloaded multiple times before its expiry date.

- Transaction statements can be viewed by logging into the customer self-service portal.
- If the PIN is lost/forgotten, cardholders can visit a Bank of Baroda branch for re-issuance (applicable charges deducted from card balance) or re-generate the PIN via the customer self-service portal, which will be delivered to the registered email ID in a secured PDF.
Refund & Card Closure Terms
- Card Expiry:
- An alert SMS is sent 45 days before the card's expiry date to prompt the cardholder to utilize available funds.
- Cardholders have the option to revalidate the card by visiting the issuing branch and surrendering the old card.
- If the customer fails to utilize funds before expiry and does not revalidate the card, any remaining funds can be transferred to the linked account of the cardholder upon request.
- Card Surrender/Closure:
- To surrender the card, the customer should withdraw/utilize funds to bring the card balance to zero.
- The card must then be submitted to the issuing branch along with a request to surrender it.
- Replacement Card:
- If a replacement card is needed (e.g., due to loss, theft, or damage), the customer needs to contact the issuing branch, fill out an application, provide KYC, and submit the old card (if not stolen/lost).
- The procedure and terms for reloading a replaced card remain the same as the original card.
- Upon revalidation or replacement, the old card will be replaced in the system with a new one, and the new card will be linked. The balance available in the old card will be transferred to the new card in real-time after deducting applicable fees and taxes.
Other Details
- The Baroda Reloadable Card Physical Variant comes in a beautifully crafted welcome kit, which includes the EMV Chip Reloadable Card, a Welcome Letter, a PIN Mailer, and Terms and Conditions. Purchasers are recommended to ensure a sealed cover is delivered.
- The Bank may use the services of agents for sales/marketing of its products, including calling customers to increase digital awareness and adoption.
- Do's for Card Usage:
- Ensure you sign on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately upon receipt.
- Change your PIN or memorize it and destroy your PIN Mailer.
- Make a separate note of your card number and customer care number for emergency use.
- Don'ts for Card Usage:
- Do not write your PIN Number on the card.
- Do not swipe the card on unauthorized or suspicious places; always look for the RuPay logo at the Point Of Sale machine at Merchant Establishments.
- Do not swipe your card if the merchant does not have an electronic point of sale card swiping terminal; any usage other than electronic use will be deemed unauthorized, and you will be solely responsible for such transactions.
