- Card Activation Process:
- Customers must create a Green PIN using a BOB ATM, bob World App, bob World Internet, or by calling IVR.
- NRI customers receive a physical PIN with new cards at their base branch and can activate the card via an ATM withdrawal transaction.
- The card can be used at POS/e-commerce only after activation at an ATM.
- Account Linking: A maximum of 9 accounts held in the same name and capacity can be linked to a Debit Card by submitting a request to the base branch.
- Card Blocking (Hotlisting):
- Soft Blocking: After 3 attempts of wrong PIN in a day (within 24 hours), the debit card will be blocked for the next 24 hours.
- Hard Blocking: After 12 attempts of wrong PIN in a month, the debit card will be blocked permanently.
- Methods for Hotlisting:
- Contact Centre/Toll-Free Numbers (1800 5700): Follow IVR prompts to block the debit card by entering the 14-digit account number and last 4 digits of the debit card.
- Mobile Banking (bob World App): Log in, go to "Cards," select "Debit Card Hotlisting," choose the card, enter transaction PIN, and confirm.
- WhatsApp Banking (8433 888 777): Initiate a chat, select "Block Debit Card" option, choose the card number, and confirm.
- Net Banking (bob World Internet): Log in, go to "Services" -> "Service Requests" -> "New Requests" -> "Operative Accounts" -> "Block Debit Card," select the card, reason, remarks, and transaction password.
- Nearest Bank of Baroda Branch: Submit a request in person.
- Enabling Transaction Channels/Setting Limits:
- Initially, cards are enabled only for contact-based usage (ATMs and POS) within India.
- To enable other transaction channels (online, international, contactless) and set transaction limits, log in to bob World (Mobile Banking), bob World Internet (Internet Banking), visit a BOB ATM, or call IVR 1800 5700.

- SMS notifications regarding renewal guidelines are sent 35-40 days before the card expiry date.

- Change PIN at regular intervals.
- Activate your debit card by using it first at any ATM.
- Ensure your card is used in your presence at POS and enter PIN discreetly.
- Register your mobile number for SMS alerts for all debit card transactions.
- Conduct ATM transactions in complete privacy and shield your PIN.
- Collect your card, cash, and receipt after transactions.
- Look for extra devices at ATMs and report suspicious findings immediately.
