- Savings Accounts: Individuals maintaining specific Savings accounts with operational instructions as "Self" or "Either or Survivor" or "Any one or Survivor".
- Current Accounts: Individuals maintaining specific Current accounts with mode of operation as Self; Sole Proprietor; Any One Partner; Any One Director; Chairman; Managing Director; Authorised Signatory.
- CC Accounts: Individuals maintaining specific CC accounts are eligible for RuPay BKCC cards.
- OD Accounts: Individuals maintaining specific OD accounts are eligible for RuPay Mudra cards.
- Eligibility Determination: Eligibility is determined by the scheme code and mode of operation used to open the bank customer account.
Important Product Details
- Personal Use: The Bank of Baroda Debit Card is for personal use.
- PIN Generation: Green PIN can be generated through BOB World App, bob World Internet, IVR, and any nearest Bank of Baroda ATM. No physical PIN is sent for domestic registered mobile numbers. NRI customers receive a physical PIN with new cards at their base branch and must make an ATM withdrawal transaction to activate.
- Card Activation: Activate your debit card by using it first at any ATM. The card can be used at POS/e-commerce only after ATM activation.
- Security:
- Secured with verification.
- Always ensure the card is used in your presence at POS and enter PIN discreetly.
- Register mobile number for SMS alerts for all Debit Card transactions.
- Conduct ATM transactions in complete privacy, shield PIN from onlookers.
- Look for extra devices attached to ATMs and report immediately if found.
- Ensure "Welcome Screen" is displayed after ATM transaction.
- Regularly check account statements and report unauthorized transactions immediately after blocking the card.
- Immediately inform the Bank if the ATM/Debit Card is lost or stolen.
- When destroying an expired or closed card, cut it into four pieces through the magnetic stripe.
- Verify emails and links, especially those asking for personal information, as they could be phishing.

- Transaction Limits:
- Cash withdrawal: Rs. 25,000 per day.
- Shopping: Rs. 75,000 per day.
- Contactless transactions without PIN: Up to Rs. 5,000.
- Card Blocking:
- Soft Blocking: After 3 attempts of wrong PIN in a day (within 24 hrs.), the debit card will be blocked for the next 24 hrs.
- Hard Blocking: After 12 attempts of wrong PIN in a month, the debit card will be blocked permanently.
- Channel Enablement: At the time of issue/re-issue/renewal, all debit cards are enabled only for contact-based usage (ATMs and POS) within India. Online/international/contactless transactions must be enabled through BOB ATM/bob World App/bob World Internet/IVR.
- Account Linking: A maximum of 9 accounts held in the same name and capacity can be linked to a Debit Card by submitting a request to the base branch.
- Non-renewal Consent: To opt out of card renewal, block the card via Branch/IVR (1800 5700)/bob World app/bob World Internet at least one month prior to the card renewal month. Not blocking the card will be taken as consent for renewal.

- Debit Card vs. ATM Card: A debit card is a multipurpose card for ATM, POS, online, and contactless transactions, while an ATM card is only for ATM transactions.
- Card Usage Frequency: Customers must frequently use the debit card to avoid blocking.
- Hotlisting (Blocking) a Lost/Stolen Card:
- Contact Centre/Toll-free numbers (1800 5700): Press 2, then 1 for Lost Card, then 1 to Block Debit Card, enter 14-digit account number, last 4 digits of debit card, and confirm.
- Mobile Banking (bob World App): Login to bob World, go to "Cards", select "Debit Card Hot listing", click "Block Card" for the relevant card, enter transaction PIN.
- WhatsApp Banking (8433 888 777): Say "Hi", select Block Debit Card option, select card number, confirm.
- Net Banking (bob World Internet): Login to bob World Internet, go to "Services" tab, "Service Requests", "New Requests", "Operative Accounts", "Block Debit Card", select card, reason, remarks, transaction password, submit.

- General Advice:
- Do not give your Debit Card to anyone. If surrendering, request closure and hand over to Bank Officials after destruction.
- Do not keep a written record of the PIN. Memorize it.
- Do not disclose Card/PIN details over email links/phone calls/to bank officials, as the Bank will never request such details.
- Do not overlook or ignore transaction alerts received through SMS.
- Never lend your card to anyone.
- Do not write your PIN on the card or its cover.
- Never share your PIN or seek help by handing over the card and revealing the PIN.
- Never let anyone see you entering your PIN.
- Never use an easily guessed PIN (e.g., birthday, telephone number). Use non-dictionary words.
- Never leave your card in the ATM.
- Do not forget to collect dispensed cash.
- Avoid posting personal information like address, phone numbers, email, license/Aadhaar number, birth place, location, school names, or family details online.
